It’s Redcoats And Petticoats For A La Disposition
After the successful launch of their menswear line last season, Lynda and Daniel Kinne of A La Disposition came back with a presentation of their new collection for SS14 under the title “Redcoats and Petticoats”.
As they did last season, the pair made use of their impressive array of skills in design, pattern cutting, tailoring and corsetry and created a collection of shirts, trousers and outer wear that plays with the silhouette of the human body as much as with the boundaries between masculinity and femininity. Presented mainly in black, grey and red, the collection featured standout pieces such as a coat that can be worn inside out, a bright red combination of the traditional men’s jacket with women’s corsetry and a grey tailcoat with impressive ruffled details in the back, made of light and butter-soft linen.
A La Disposition is just the right place for adventurous men who are not scared of experimenting with body shapes and gender definitions. Hand-made by Daniel and Lynda themselves with exceptional consideration for detail and quality, these pieces are timeless and created to last a lifetime.
As a result of the pieces’ timeless character, this new collection, officially made for Spring and Summer 2014, is now available to be purchased through the label’s online store – a continuation of A La Disposition’s “Runway to retail” concept, which is a great strategy to make the designs available while the excitement is fresh.
