For a wedding venue, Beige recommends: W London
While we see nothing wrong with exchanging wedding rings in a stately castle or French chateau, nothing gets our wedding bells ringing like planning a wedding around the biggest disco ball this side of the Thames. This and dozens of other disco balls of all sizes are one of our favourite themes at the W London in Leicester Square.
With the W’s sleek décor, a combination of effortless cool and tasteful flair, this is what we envision: Making THE entrance with a ceremony at the candle-lit W Lounge, followed by a reception at the Wyld Bar overlooking the newly-redesigned Leicester Square. The view is second to an overhead disco ball so immense, we wish we could enter the reception through the ceiling like a Kylie concert.
Once the evening (eventually) winds down, you can roam Chinatown for some greasy Chinese food or enjoy an exotic meal at the hotel’s Spice Market restaurant. The next day after everyone has gushed over you for getting them group rates and you’re drowning in wrapping paper from your presents, start your new married life together with a lazy Sunday brunch followed by a couple’s treatment at the AWAY spa.
Not enough for you? Book yourselves at the W’s take on the presidential suite: the E WOW Suite. Situated on the 7th floor with stunning views of London, it has a rotating chesterfield sofa, Union Jack décor and vodka and champagne bar as well as a screening wall in the bathroom.
The W London is on the Westminster City Council’s approved list for civil partnership venues.Jump to comments
