For a wedding florist, Beige recommends: Wildabout Flowers
Our obsession with over-sized disco balls at a wedding reception can only be replaced with a dangling orchid chandelier over the dance floor. Enter: Wildabout Flowers. The Clerkenwell-based shop has become the go-to florist for London’s glitterati, having designed flowers for the catwalks and corporate offices of Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Harper’s Bazaar and Thomson Reuters.
Run by a fabulous team that genuinely takes into consideration your floral preferences, not to mention your budget, Wildabout Flowers recently sourced 1300 Amnesia roses from their Dutch wholesaler to create 40 simple and chic vintage rose cubes for L’wren Scott’s first Autumn/Winter 2013 show in London at One Great George St.
The arrangements adorned a banquet-style catwalk where Mick Jagger, sandwiched between Anna Wintour and Daphne Guinness, enjoyed champagne and a lamb shank shepard’s pie whilst viewing the L’wren Scott collection.
WildAbout also created custom headpieces for a Financial Times spring fashion editorial. Basically, anything you want done with flowers, Wildabout Flowers will pull off with aplomb and the sweet scent of a rose garden. Wonder if they can do a disco ball…Jump to comments
