Kate Moross Meets Lion Babe

Kate Moross is a 26 year old London based creative force to be reckoned with.

As director of Studio Moross her work is heavily influenced by music, as can be witnessed in the studios involvement in music videos for the likes of Jessie Ware and Simian Mobile Disco. Moross was the natural go to when one of our favourite sunglass brands, Ray-Ban (just check out our summer fashion editorials for proof) were scouting for artists to collaborate with on the London leg of their Envision Tour, celebrating the brands notorious mirrored Outshine lens range.

Choosing to work with NY based R&B musical duo Lion Babe, who are hot on our radar, Moross created a video and projection installation for the Envision Tour which was set in an old WW2 underground bunker and extended up onto roof of the Dalston Roof Park. Moross’ installations and projections combined with the music of Lion Babe created a unique multi-sensory experience.

In an interview with i-D Online Moross cited Zebra Katz (who recently supported Die Antwoord at their Brixton gig) as an artist she would like to collaborate with (hell yes!) and that she was off on a bike ride with Beige favourite’s Sink The Pink this week-end, presumably that’s en route to Summer Rites and The Big Gay Bash ?!
