BURN: Moving Images by Cabaret Artists is back this Sunday as part of the East End Film Festival.

The event will have an East End theme and feature films that book-end the alt-drag era at Bistrotheque, cradle of the east London tranny perf art party scene.

There will be a rare screening of Lipsynchronicity, Peter Podworski’s record of one of the first shows to get the drag ball rolling at Bistrotheque in 2004.

There will also another chance to see Vinegar to Jam, the short doc co-directed by Ben Walters and Edward Lawrenson about the final performances of Jonny Woo and the LipSinkers at Bistrotheque’s cabaret room last year.

Complementing those, there will be video work from Jonny Woo from before and after the Bistrotheque years.

Contributions from two of the LipSinkers: experimental videos by Rhyannon Styles and a live performance from Blanche Dubois will also be included.

Videos will also feature from Bourgeois & Maurice, Bryony Kimmings, Christeene, EastEnd Cabaret, Frisky & Mannish, Scottee, Up & Over It and much more.
