A Strange Exclusive From Leigh De Vries
Strange Things Are Happening…
Leigh de Vries, internationally acclaimed industrial shock rocker, returns with ‘Strange’ – the next instalment from her new album, The Machine. The release includes remixes from iconic London-based electronic/rock producer Jagz Kooner, New York’s electroclash pioneer Larry Tee, epic soundtrack auteur Glen Nicholls and Dutch trapmeisters Pinch Hitters.
Larry Tee is a New York City-based DJ, club promoter, and music producer who coined the musical genre term Electroclash and helped launch the careers of such artists as RuPaul, Scissor Sisters, Fischerspooner, Peaches, W.I.T., and Avenue D, and has collaborated with Amanda Lepore and Princess Superstar.
As de Vries is launching the ‘Strange E.P’ single this evening and Beige will be there, she has kindly given our readers exclusive access to a Larry Tee & Attack Attack Attack remix of the single:
Turning heads with her questioning lyrics and brazen, throbbing sound is nothing new to this lady as she has been doing so since her very first release, ‘The Machine, Walk Alone’ – the song which won her the coveted ‘Peoples Music Awards’ in 2011 and she looks set to continue along the same path as she collaborates with more movers and shakers from within the industry.
One such collaboration is with visuals guru ladaypat on the music video remix for Strange, check it out here:
Another meeting of artistic minds is with the talented Gozra Lozano who created the look and image for the Strange E.P cover, here’s a teaser of the truly animalistic image, the full image will be revealed at the launch this evening.
